Travertine

Travertine is a sedimentary poly-crystalline rock produced by the deposition of calcium carbonate from mineral or thermal springs or running water full with calcium. Travertine has a striated structure in the direction of the water also it exist in the form of concentric circles. The travertine is a fragile stone, contains bullets. It is usually coloured in beige, yellow, white, pink or other, depending on impurities and minerals. It has been used since ancient times for construction as a material for lining external and internal walls, floors, facades, decorative elements.
